Always Give to a Client
Always hand your business card to a client…all the time. It doesn’t matter if they already have your card or not…hand them your business card any chance you get. I was visiting my accountant on Saturday and I already have his business card but he made sure he gave myself and my fiance another one just in case we lost the other one I already have. Its no big deal. I didn’t throw it out though. I put it in with the paperwork I left his office with so I know where it is in the future.
Always give your clients business cards even if they already have one because if they already have one they can give the new one to a friend or family member. You might be getting a phone call on Monday morning from a prospective client referred to you from a client that you handed a business card even though they already had one.
Don’t worry about them throwing it away. Just continually get your name out to the public any chance that you can get. A current client is the best way to market your business because they will recommend you to friends and family via word of mouth. Word of mouth was the original way businesses would advertise their services to the public and it is still a worthwhile marketing scheme today.
By handing your business card to current clients every-time you meet, you are not only cementing your services into their memory but you are also opening up new doors with the clients because they hold your information in their hands.
