How to Distribute Business Cards
So everyone these days has a business card, either from their boss or one they had created on their own, and it is difficult to determine when, where, and how to distribute those business cards to others. There are certain etiquette tips that people should follow when distributing their business card to people they know and people they don’t know at work, at home, in the subway or anywhere else they might be during their travels.
The first and most important tip for distributing business cards is to always ask for another person’s business card when you hand your business card to them. Never hand out your business card and not ask for the other person’s business card in return. That is really inappropriate and will not help you gain any contacts in the business world at all. Also, do not force you business card on anyone ever. If they decline your request to take your business card you should not try to force it on them at all.
Our second tip for distributing business cards is to post the business card on public bulletin boards so that others can take the business card and put it to good use. Also, leave a handful of copies of your business card at local businesses or with other business officials who will in turn send out those business cards to others they know. Our third and final tip for distributing business cards is to make sure that they look professional and you have enough of them when going to business meetings or taking other trips involving your business.
