There are also certain things that no one should say when handing out a business card and certain things you should say when handing out a business card. One of the biggest no-nos in the business world is to hand out a business card from a previous job, even if you are working a new one. Never do this. This makes it seem like you are too lazy to create and print new business cards. Always update your business cards whenever needed.

Another no-no when handing out business cards is to hand out a dirty or torn business card. This should never be done. Do not hand out your business card if it is torn, dirty, stained or has scribble on the back of it. Always make sure the business card you hand out is clean and crisp.

If you are attending a business seminar with people you are meeting for the first time, make sure that you have plenty of business cards on your person. This is so you do not run out while networking with other people. If you happen to be at an event and are running out of business cards you should stop handing them out. Why? So you don’t hand one to one person and shun the rest of the people you are speaking with.
