The candle making business offers a lot of opportunity for entrepreneurs at all ends of the consumer market. Whether it’s highly decorative sculpted candles or utilitarian tea lights and votives, the candle making business is a classic opportunity to earn income. Every successful candle making business has a great set of candle maker business cards.

The candle making business card should clearly convey the type of candle up for sale as well as the price point associated with that candle. As there is such diversity in the candle making and candle selling world, consumers and potential clients should be able to tell what type of stock a candle maker or supplier has by the look of their business card.

Consider a high gloss finish and a thick card stock for your candle maker business card. Matte finishes on candle related business cards tend to cheapen the look of the product. Ideally, a waxy finish would be perfect but a glossy finish is a close second. Remember, the thicker the cardstock, the more sturdy the product seems and the more reliable the business. It’s all about tactile advertising.

Featuring an image of your wares on your candle maker business card is a great way to sell. If you offer a range of candle colors, sizes and scents, photograph a range together to give potential customers an idea of your stock. If you make custom candles for special occasions, include a picture of your most popular candle. Scented business cards are of course an option for the candle maker business card but may be a mistake. On the other hand, if you only make one specialty scent, then the scented card offers a great opportunity to advertise your custom candle smell.
