Time to Get Creative

Are you tired of watching people throw out the business card that you hand them as they leave your presence? If so, it is time to get creative when it comes to making business cards and how they are designed. All this week we are featuring the nontraditional look of business cards and how effective they can be for a marketing plan.

A nontraditional business card is one that is not just an index card with a company logo and information for the employee. A nontraditional business card is one that employs the idea of thinking outside the box. Yesterday’s post, Nontraditional Business Card Designs , dealt with using scratch and sniff techniques for businesses that sell flowers and fruit arrangements…very outside the box.

Today we will discuss using photos as your business card if you are a photographer. For instance, say you just worked a wedding last weekend and you have a shot of the entire reception hall decorated with every at their tables during a toast. Use that shot, if it is a wide shot, and place it on your business card along with you company contact information.

Using this form of marketing you are not only getting your company’s information out to the public but you are also handing out a sample of your work at the same time and it is all on one piece of paper. You don’t have to carry around business cards and samples everywhere you go because you know people will ask to see samples.

So, if you are looking for new ideas when it comes to designing your business card, think outside the box and go with a nontraditional business card to grab the attention of your prospective clients.
