Using Your Smart Phone as a Business Card
Smart phones have exploded in popularity over the past couple of years as they continue to develop, add new applications, remove the technical bugs and add new features that entice old and new users to purchase the latest version of their smart phone. Smart phones can be used as business cards in this day and age because they have so many different technical aspects to them such as access to the internet, email, texting, instant messaging and much more. All of these features allow the user to stay in touch with friends, family members, co workers, clients, employees and employers.
If you wish to use your smart phone as a business card this might actually work out as an excellent marketing campaign for yourself and your business. When you meet someone new you can enter their phone number into your address book and then email them or text them your standard business card information. This information includes your name, phone number, email address, website URL, company address and much more. I would not use the smart phone strictly as your business card because some people will not want to give out their phone number at first meeting.
How many times have you gone to the office, an event, or to lunch without your business card? This can be embarrassing if you are meeting a new client or a potential employer and do not have your business card. Using your smart phone as a type of business card can save you some embarrassment for the time being because you can email your new acquaintance your information.
