When to Redesign Your Business Cards

Many people across the country will use the same business cards for their entire business career if they work for only one company. Others will use the same template for their business cards their entire business career, only changing the information on the card each time. Whether you change jobs in your lifetime or not, you should really consider redesigning your business card every couple of years to keep it fresh and original.

Obviously, if you are fired from or a job or decide to find a job with a new company then you should redesign your business card immediately so that the new information is printed on the card. You should have your business cards redesigned almost immediately so that you do not have to hand out any of your old business cards.

If you are working with the same company for a prolonged period of time you should consider redesigning your business cards, if you have to print and order them yourself, every couple of months to stay fresh. Most companies will have a design or template for their employees to use when it comes to printing business cards but others allow their employees to design their own cards. If you are allowed to design your own cards then you should redesign them every couple of months. By every couple of months we mean every six months to one year. I know this seems like you will be ordering new business cards all the time but it might actually help you gain more clients.
