Don’t Overdo It
When designing your business cards there is one major tip that everyone should follow to a tee…never overdo it. What do we mean by overdo? Simple, don’t put too much information on the card or don’t make the design too extreme. Keep it simple and easy to look at so people will not be overwhelmed when looking at your business cards.
Examples of overdone business cards include ones that have more than two email addresses, more than one street address, more than two phone numbers, more than one job title, more than one design and more than one business logo. Keep it simple. We can’t stress that enough. It doesn’t mean that you can’t be original when designing your business card but you shouldn’t put too much on the card.
Keep your design simple and to the point. Don’t put too many different colors on the card or colors that contradict each other. This can call attention to the wrong thing. People will criticize your card for the wrong reasons. You want people to criticize your card in a good way and look at it over and over again…memorizing your information.
If you keep your business card simple and to the point you should be successful in your marketing campaign. If your business card is too jumpy or too overdone then it will more than likely be tossed in the bottom of a drawer or in the trash never to be seen again.
How many times have you thrown out business cards that either don’t grab your attention or grab your attention for the wrong reason? Don’t let your business card be the same way.
