More Creative Business Card Ideas
Following our theme for the week, creative business card ideas, we have plucked an obscure idea out of the sky for today’s post. We have been preaching about thinking out of the box when designing and producing your business cards and this idea fits the mold of thinking out of the box. Today’s idea can be used by graphic designers, artists, writers, radio announcers, television hosts and bands alike. This idea is more common for the latter three but all on that list can employ the use of a CD showcasing your best work as a business card.
In the media world this CD is referred to as a demo tape, even though it is no longer a tape, and contains air checks of radio show hosts, demo songs for bands, and video clips of television reporters. Anyone that produces their work can use this method though.
Take a CD and create a label to put on it that includes your name, job title, phone number, email address, and street location of the business. Then, put together a tiny sample of your best work into a demo, save it in one file, and burn that file to the CD.
The file can be an MP3, a WAV, a Microsoft Word Document, a PowerPoint presentation, Clip Art, Photoshop and much more. As long as the media on the CD is readable and playable, you now have one of the most effective nontraditional business cards around. More than likely no one will throw away this business card because they will be intrigued to find out what your band sounds like, what your radio voice sounds like, what your graphic designs look like, how your writing reads or how you handle yourself on television. Give it a shot; it’s worth the try.
