Unfortunately divorce and broken marriage are common in modern society. Expensive and emotionally draining, many couples try to avoid divorce at all costs. Marriage counseling is often the difference between a happy satisfying marriage and being alone. The professional marriage counselor uses a number of counseling and therapeutic techniques to help people sustain their commitments.

The marriage counselor’s business card should convey openness, honesty and trust. It should clearly state the counselor’s qualifications and experience. Explanation of basic techniques is helpful to potential patients deciding between different types of therapy. Be sure to list all your office contact information including your personal cell phone number or direct line to help patients feel you are an accessible individual.

Marriage counselors want to convey a sense of seriousness and focus on their business card. Avoid intricate design templates and the overuse of clipart and color. Choose muted tones for your cardstock and select a thicker, well cut cardstock. Matte rather than gloss finishes work best on the marriage counselor’s business card.

A portrait photograph of the counselor is the perfect image for the marriage counselor’s business card. Take the time to have a professional photographer capture you conveying kindness, confidence and caring. Including your picture when others don’t lets potential patients know you are honest and upfront and want them to know you rather than appearing aloof.

Distribute the marriage counselor’s business card to potential clients, current patients, colleagues at networking events and at conferences and workshops. Counseling is a large section of the human services world and having the right business card can keep you in mind as a caring trustworthy professional.

We get into the habit of thinking a business card size price of card is nothing more than that: a business card size piece of card. There are a number of alterative uses for the business card. For a reasonable price, printing business sized cards can provide advertising, discounts and information.

Business cards can be printed to make appointment cards. Ideal for the dentists or doctor’s office, most business card companies offer templates for just this purpose. Be sure to get a matte finish and leave plenty of space for scribbling.

The wallet size calendar fits perfectly on a business card. Print these with the company logo on one side and the calendar on the other. Hand out in greeting and thank you cards or place a basket of complimentary calendar’s on the receptionist’s desk.

Create coupons for your sale, regular services or a seasonal special. Business cards are an excellent size for this and can fit in the wallet or back pocket without having to be folded over like a flyer. Choose brightly colored card and high gloss for an attention grabbing effect.

Make punch cards for coffee clubs or frequent customers to any service. These cards feature the company name, the details of the promotion and a space or spaces for a worker to punch the card with a hole punch. The completely punched card is then redeemed for free goods or discounts.

Membership cards or door passes printed on business card sized cards are a great way to brand a club or private service. Be sure to use stiff heavy card and thick engraving to make this type of card as durable as possible. Laminating is the perfect finish.

Spiritual advertising, whether information about a local congregation or lines of scriptures are less likely to be discarded if placed on a conveniently sized piece of card. By using business card templates for spiritual advertising, you can save money by buying in bulk.

It may actually be cheaper to buy wedding supplies from a business card company over a traditional printer. Save the Date cards remind folks that your wedding is approaching. For the savvy business inclined couple why not make save the date cards from business cards?

With the versatility of modern business cards, the numerous designs and layouts, color combinations and image availability, they are the perfect money saver for the business power couple. If you are known for long hours at the office, networking and loving your job, a business card save the date card is the perfect statement.

Start of by browsing the business card layouts for wedding planners and caterers. This may give you some ideas about background design, font and images. Choose a nice soft card such as a cream or white linen. Unless of course you are having a monochromatic color scheme for the big day then consider lighter shade for background and darker shade for font.

Instead of the usual address and contact information, put in the names of the happy couple, the wedding date and location (just the town and state). Be sure to include a link to any wedding journal blog or engagement photo site.

Because double sided and fold over business cards are available, you may want to consider making a miniature greeting card look for your save the date business cards. Use the back side of a double sided card to express early wishes about gifts or provide links to registries. The important thing with a save the date card is to concentrate on the date aspect but it’s ok to include a few extras.

Make your special day perfect and economical with business card save the date cards. For the die hard career networker, consider business cards for RSVPs cards inside the final wedding invitation.

People need to get in contact with them and know where to find them but often, they never think of printing and carrying business cards. But religion is a business with plenty of clients and religious professionals should consider custom designed business cards and calling cards to help their spiritual audience maintain close contact with them.

Although clergy people and spiritual leaders need business cards, it is important to keep the overall look and design of the card tasteful and respectful. Commercialism in religion is not the message religious leaders should send to their flocks. A subdued but focused design supported by clear communicative information is best.

Background colors can reflect the colors of the meeting building or religious season or take on a more abstract approach. A black and white still photograph of nature or other landscape conveys the same mood as calm blues, whites and yellows but without the very obvious association. Although clear indicators of the religious affiliation may be more appropriate in some cases.

When it comes to font type and size the style should be legible. For creative purposes copying the styles of ancient script in head lines of information can look nice as long as the words are still clear. Gothic styles and Edwardian scripts should be used with a degree of restraint. Parishioners and followers must be able to use the card easily. Be sure to include cell phone numbers, web site addresses and e-mail addresses if possible.

Clip art or photographs on a religious professional’s business card must be done with the utmost taste. A photograph of the building of worship or some of the ritual pieces used during ceremonies can be nice. A great idea is to have a professional portrait taken so that potential “clients” can put a name and face to a particular institution.

Consider two sets of cards: one for parishioners and one for fellow members of the cloth. That way you can experiment with design and font types and see which seems most effective. Don’t forget to order two sided cards so that calling hours and worship times are posted.

Designing your own business card can be a chore, but designing a business card for friend or family member can be a lot of fun and makes the perfect corporate gift for a new business owner, first time worker or recent graduate. There are a few things to keep in mind when designing a business card to give as a gift.

Know the person you are designing very well. The perfect business card reflects both the career choice as well as the personality of the bearer. It should state clearly their profession in a font and style appropriate for their business or company. Adding a little of the individual’s favorite color or clip art does no harm as long as it’s tasteful.

Always make the effort to purchase luxury or premium business cards when giving as a gift. Because business cards are so cheap these days, it isn’t as though making a premium choice in regards to cardstock, finish and accents is a real budget breaker. Heavy card feels the richest. Gloss is only appropriate in some circumstances but embossed or engraved printing is an absolute must. Consider foiling for fun or easy going profession but avoid flair for serious professionals.

If the card is for a recent graduate, concentrate on making calling card style cards rather than business related cards. Concentrate on favorite things and aspirations rather than the job they wish to land. But keep things stylish so the graduate can include a card with job applications and inquiry letters.

Take the time to research the latest design and trends in the individuals’ chosen profession. The ideal card should be appropriate for the profession yet still stand out from the crowd. Just make sure they stand out for all the right reasons. Never choose your first design and layout. Rather, play around with the elements on the card and be sure of your choices before finalizing your order.

Compliment your business card gift with an engraved car holder, matching set of stationary and a personalized rubber stamp or signature stamp. Corporate gifts can be difficult but business cards as gifts are both practical and fun. It’s an unexpected stocking filler most of us can afford.

The business card of the thrift store owner must be stylish yet honest, inviting and professional.

The usual information should be included such as contact details, store name and geographical location. Be sure to include any web site that provides direction tot eh store. Many people lump consignment and thrift stores together and details to your specific store is important. Make the name of the business large and obvious. Choose the same coloring as on the store sign.

For font type, choose something that reflects the style of your business. If you specialize in one particular are of vintage or used items, reflect this in your font. Choose an old fashioned script for high end vintage and antiques. Choose bold pop art style fonts for vintage 60s and 70s and consider a fun font for children’s items.

Choose clip art or visual images that reflect the style of the store and the level of merchandise. If the emphasis is on clothes, select clip art of clothes hanging on a rail or in a bundle. If you sell records and vintage posters, music themed clip art is best. If the store sells a variety of items, include a photograph of the store rather than making the card too busy with a variety of clip art.

Consider a double sided card to include opening times, driving directions or details on what type of items your store sells. You could include details of your donation acceptance rules or details on how the store sales operate. A great idea for thrift store business cards is making the back side of the card a coupon to be redeemed upon visiting.

For stores that offer clubs and ongoing discounts for numerous visits, it may be a good idea to create fold over business cards. This allows for the customer to have their card stamped or punched during a visit yet still retain the business information portion of the card.

Consignment stores, vintage clothing outlets and thrift stores must make themselves stand out from the sea of local no name charity shops that people struggle to remember. Most often customers remember the location over the name. Be sure to make location a large part of your thrift store business card design.

As the holiday season approaches, sales and discounts abound. This is the perfect time to start designing next year’s business card. Whether it’s simply a reorder of last years design or a completely fresh new card, later fall early winter is the prefect time for a business card redesign. Time to grab paper and pen and start thinking about next year’s business card image.

The first thing to do is check if any information has changed. If you spent the last few months crossing out and rewriting a phone number or e-mail address on your old cards, that is the first issue to note. Any changes to company name, job title or company tag line should also be fixed. Beginning with the correct information will make the redesign much easier.

Now you have the basic text to hand, it is time to review the font and size of the text. Would a different font improve the legibility? Would a larger size fit better on the card? Creating a draft of the card layout in a word processing program and changing the fonts and font sizes around is a good way of finding out what works best for your information.

Color is key in business cards. Check that the new business card will reflect company colors or website color themes. Ensure you don’t go over three colors on your new design to keep things professional and polished. If the colors are the same as last year, consider brighter tones and hues or emphasizing one color over another to mix things up a little.

Review the current logo and or photo of your business card. Do you have a more up to date image you can use? Has the company logo changed or the coloring been improved? Would a smaller or larger image compliment the text portion better? If your card includes a photograph of yourself, why not get a new picture taken to go with your new cards.

Finally, browse online for the latest trends in inks, textured cards, finishing techniques and offers. Use the notes that you made to ensure your card is exactly how you wish to present yourself in the coming year.

Designing a new business card every year is a great excuse for handing out your card to those you have given to in the past. Explaining the card updates old information is a great way to reconnect with old clients and affirm friendships with colleagues. Purchase an extra box to hand out with client Christmas cards.

Business cards have been one of the best ways to market a business for quite a long time now but some businesses are using alternative methods to market their business instead of using the traditional business card. The types of variations include placing their information on mouse pads, pens, note pads, calendars, magnets, hats, shirts and much more.

As technology has expanded over the years so have the ways that businesses can market their contact information and the services that they offer to prospective clients. Not all businesses use the traditional business card as the only way to market their services. Now businesses and self-employed workers are using more than one of the methods mentioned above.

The problem with business cards is that people tend to throw them away or place them at the bottom of their desk drawer, never to be seen again. Your message won’t get out this way. So, businesses have taken a more proactive approach to marketing their services by altering the traditional business card.

Many business card printing companies offer these alternative methods of printing a company’s information on various products. Why do companies use these alternative methods? Prospective clients that are handed a magnetic calendar they will more than likely put that calendar somewhere noticeable; their refrigerator. The information will be noticed by anyone that goes near the fridge, unlike a traditional business card.

Also, everyone could use another pen in their collection. The information of the company is posted on pens, which is visible to anyone using it. The mouse pad has the same effect. People working with computers always need mouse pads, that’s why a lot of businesses put their information on mouse pads and distribute them to current and prospective clients.

If you order business cards from a company, they will more than likely offer to print the same information and same design on other products such as mouse pads, notepads, pens, magnets, calendars and much more. A business card doesn’t literally have to be a card; it can be anything that has your business’ information on it.
